SB6 - Production

The newspaper cover was printed separately to the magazine, on off white newsprint paper to link to the design purpose of the cover. The body of the magazine will be printed on white 300gsm cartridge paper to form a sturdy finish.

The logo for the magazine was used and cut out of florescent green vinyl to add the to theme of the newspaper, and to hint at the contents of the zone on top of the boring newspaper print. Above are the photos of how the vinyl was processed. The stickers were hand cut out by me after with a scalpel removing all the parts of the stickers that needed to be removed.

Image of that the spread looks like with the stickers.

To add a hand design element to the outcome and to also build to the rebellious feel, the insert cover will have the logo of the editorial spray painted on. The spray painted logos were done by me and created with a hand cut stencil (cut out by me). The design will make a great first impression to the book and add an extra layer of curiosity when opening the book.

The printed pages of the magazine were folded using the precise card folding machine in the print room, and was followed with a simple stapled spine for the binding process. The process in which the magazine was produces was to realistically show what the production of the magazine would be like if a monthly issue.

The magazine was assembled with simple staple bind to mimic the idea of how it would be bound in teal life production.
