First Initial Sketch Designs

First initial sketch ideas made after identifying the name of the exhibition. 

 Image 1 looks at ways wayfinding could be designed, the line style links to the theme of layering and could be created using vinyl.

  Image 2 further looks at the way a theme of layering could be applied to the exhibition branding, cutting up and layering shapes to form a sense of direction for wayfinding. 

Image 3 is inspired from the exhibition space, incorporating circles into the design and a form of connectivity through line hints at a form of community and togetherness. 

Image 4 shows initial ideas behind poster designs and the composition for which the word substrate could be placed. Both the formed and deformed circles relate to the name of the exhibition and traditional printing processes, representing the layer of ink.
