Layout and Location for Wayfinding System

Above is the map of Leeds, with the pinpointed areas where the Legal Graffiti walls are located in Leeds. The Black dot represents the central point from where the super graphics will branch out, as it’s located centrally to all three areas. Even if the public don’t start from the centre point they will still be able to guide their way by distinguishing the direction to which the supergraphic points (through the use of apex’s).

The black lines represent the journey of which it takes to get to the legal walls from the centre point, along the way through this journey bare walls that face the audience will be covered with the super graphic design.
The final supergraphic design will be placed over bare walls leading up to the pinpointed.

The designs will be placed around 20 to 30 metre apart on different buildings, which will be visible to the public from the previous supergraphic. This will make the wayfinding system more interactive to those using it, less identifiable as a wayfinding system to those who won’t use it, and less cluttered as an overall design. This refers back to the research made in Leeds Beckett Union and the use of space.
