Lucas Simeos
I was really inspired by Simeos' work and I explored his work in my foundation course. The way in which the photos are burned offers a really dark twist to the delicate sepia/bw portraits. The high contrast of orange in the imagery, due to the photo being set alite creates a dystopic feel, and the motion of burning. I really was inspired by this piece, because I want to be able to portray the motion of burning in my work to correlate the the burning of skin when using bleach.

Here is my example of playing with bleach with imagery for my foundation course. I was able to create a completely different image with the use of bleach and nail polish. The colours produced are also very intense in colour and offer that 'burning feel'
