Brief 1 - Initial Sketches

Rough initial designs looking at the composition and structure of the word Aeumlriality. Being quite a long and unfamiliar word, having the logotype as a woven combined logotype would be rather difficult for audience members to read, making it something hard to read and easy to forget. To develop, I will look at creating a clear and readable logotype, this will be achieves my looking at letter structure and kerning. 

Looking at using just uppercase letters and medium kerning, there is already an improvement in legibility for this word. The second and third design look at separating the word apart and playing with the word riality to form a homonym. Other sketches look at the impact of stretching shrinking and removing stems and crossbars of the typeface. 

Further development, tracing with the chosen typeface Futura, experimenting with all the various fonts and compositions, to help bring variety for crit; where the most successful and impactful type will be questioned.
