The idea of creating two typefaces following the same theme was briefly mentioned in the latest crit, the idea seemed rather interesting so the concept was developed, creating a typeface following the same rules of the final typeface. This idea proved quite useful, this is because when formatting my final typeface alone letters such as I and E proved confusing.
As shown above on the left, the combination of using the I and E creates an E which looks like a stencil, although the difference is Identifiable to me, it wont be to the audience, this proved correct as peers from my class automatically read the combination as an E. To improve the combination, the second typeface E alongside the first typeface can be combined to become easier to read, as shown on the top right image.
Overall by combining two typefaces together, the overall final outcome is open to experimentation to achieve one of the brief points, that being to allow the typeface to work harmoniously through various combinations. Although the typeface is in Capital letters the two typefaces function, through lowercase and uppercase format on the keyboard opening up the various ways to which the audience member can use it. The design above was created to experiment with how the typeface could be used in context, which follows the characteristics and rationale of my typeface by being a rather stubborn aggressive sentence.
