Brief 2 - Definition and Characteristics of the Typeface.
To further develop and refine my rationale, I've decided to focus on one meaning of the word Static then combining all three noun definitions together. By doing this it will make development work more concise and create a more confidently directed response to my rationale.
The design of the typeface will derive from the informal Northern American noun Static meaning aggressive and critical talk. The typeface will be rather rebellious by not conforming to its conventional rules from Berthold. The characteristics of the typeface will link directly to the definition of the word - aggressive. This will be shown through the heavy weight of the typeface and unusual complex style; by being an unusual typeface it becomes some what of a threat to the normal conventions of existing easy to read typefaces.
