Brief 1 - Virtual Reality Logo Analysis

Figure 1
Geometric and simplistic design, this logo is easy to read and has a clear representation to digital font (e.g. digital clock). Having all letters in lowercase adds an informal and approachable feel and a form of control and structure as the cross strokes of the t from a line with the x-height. The typeface is easy to link and identify towards technology, however lacks impact, making it rather mundane to viewers.

Figure 2
Bold and striking design, inconsistency in size of lettering creates a unique look. Sharp geometric typeface ties in well to the brand and product. Experimentation with cross bar in A and sharp Apex forms A into a form of symbol instead of a letter, linking well to the approach to my logotype. Weight of the logotype is striking and powerful possibly connoting strength and power of the product. The logotype with out the imagery is in my opinion more striking and interesting, the image clutters the A and removes the dominating look of the A.

Figure 3
Simplistic design, inconsistent weight of letter divides and highlights the words Virtual and Reality. Possibly a representation of the two different meanings behind the words, Virtual being one world and Reality being the other. Overall easy to read, however less interesting to the other two designs.
