Brief 2 - Photocopier Experimentation Designs

Experimental Work, looking at forming another typeface through an initial sketch using a photocopier. The photocopier creates vivid bright colours of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Key, along with abnormal lettering through movement. When moving the paper horizontally over and over the typeface sketch becomes deformed and rather interesting, especially by using the sketch that already has existing fragmentation in the design.
Overall the traced design shares obvious signs of abnormality and with it's warped style becomes unique. The disrupted baseline, inconsistent stroke weights and variable x-heights in the typeface further pursue the nature of the word static. However the strokes of the typeface are far too smooth to connote Static confidently, the lines should be sharp and striking representing static electricity. This typeface would be more confident to represent the word such as Friction or glide as its flowing lines create a form of movement a lot more calmer than the nature of static electricity.
