Referencing to the ‘Just Do It’ poster, the poster designs that will be created for this project will share the same restrictions as the poster. The Demographic that follow this magazine are young females aged 18-25. The for the designs restrictions:
The background colour will be the same as the sneaker colour
The sneaker will be designed in the same line style Elements/features of the sneaker that make it unique will be show
The initial sketches look at different forms of compositions and how their unique elements can be added to the designs.
The orange design will remain the same to the commissioners orders
The sage low design with incorporate the peachy pink, orange and dark blue combination. The snake on the right of the image about is taken from the Force is Female event, and will be the symbolism used to associate to the shoes release - the initial sketches look at how the snake can be incorporated into the design in a playful and eye catching way.
The Utility series poster looks at taking the stipe like element from the shoe - forming patterns that can be used. The release was done with both a white and black design - pretty much an inverted version of each other - this was used to develop the idea of creating one poster design and then inverting it to for the second poster design - still celebrating both releases in a quick time wise way. Initial sketches look at how the two shoes could be shown in a ying-yang like way 50/50. It could be placed in the release box however this would deter from the consistent look of the posters to create.
Vector designs of both the shoes were made (bottom left) to link to the style of the orange poster design - this will be further developed adding their signature elements and colours schemes.
