The Asian Woman Festival is the UK's first of its kind event smashing stereotypes and stigma to empower and celebrate Asian Women.
As the modern woman becomes more adventurous and ambitious than any female generation before, their platform creates an open dialogue for Asian Women to explore and express their views around navigating a dual identity coupled with cultural expectations in 21-century Britain.
Among the curated panel talks, workshops, live performances, there will be an exhibition giving those in the asian community the chance to express their opinion through their work. This years theme for the exhibition is ‘Identity’.
For this brief, design a piece that represents one's identification in the British Asian community; to be submitted and if successful shown at The Asian Woman Festival. Explore ways in which you can encapsulate a feeling of being British Asian that can be relatable to those who attend the exhibition.
