The majority of current galleries and exhibitions tend to follow the same style of presentation and it is understandably so. A large space is often cleared and stripped down in order to provide the work with breathing space.
Although this has proven to be a success in terms of a calming environment allowing large groups to appreciate the arts, the intimidation of the formality may cause some to act in certain, uncomfortable ways which they often might not in order adapt to the space.
Based on the fact that the exhibition will be a reflection of student work, it should avoid these tendencies and create a relaxed, comfortable environment whilst still maintaining a certain level of taste and sophistication
