I decided to follow the inspiration approach and created an acetate mask and have someone model with the mask. This design approach and idea wills shy away from the clichĂȘ outcomes that use obvious designs onto the poster. This unique outcome will be intriguing and something new in comparison to past Thought bubble posters, highlighting the unique and speciality of this poster for the 10 year anniversary.

The acetate mask created in response to the Inspiration work. This design incorporates imagery of wonderwoman, the superman logo, the number 10 to refer to the 10 year anniversary, the abbreviation of TB for Thought Bubble, and the Zig Zag patter referring to the way sequential art is viewed.
Below are images of the photos that have gone through the clipping mask process, by clipping masking them it will be able to identify the layering of the imagery that will then be taken into consideration in regards to the way it will be processed. I want to create a design that uses no more that 3 layers, this is due tot hte fact that I feel two many colour/layers the harder to guarantee that the final outcome will be aligned and be of good quality.
I found that having an actual person a part of the photo made the outcome more visually interesting and somewhat interactive as the eye contact from the portrait forms a connection to those viewing the poster. The black layering of the clipping mask highlights the sharp contrast and shadows found in the imagery and also bring attention further to the eyes with the effect created.
More imagery and illustrator experimentation work:
the image of this mask shows the detail added to the mask and the detail of the contextual detail taken into consideration for this design approach.
